ChatGPT
Connect ChatGPT to Helipod with a custom connector and sign in, no API key needed.
ChatGPT can use Helipod's hosted MCP server as a custom connector (an app). You sign in to Helipod and choose what ChatGPT may access.
Add the connector
Turn on developer mode
Custom connectors are created in developer mode: in ChatGPT open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. On business plans, an admin may need to allow custom connectors first.
Create the connector
In Settings → Apps & Connectors, choose Create:
- Name: Helipod
- MCP server URL:
https://api.helipod.io/mcp - Authentication: OAuth
ChatGPT registers itself with Helipod automatically; there is no client ID or secret to enter.
ChatGPT opens a Helipod page: sign in, pick the products (Container API, VPS API, Domain API) and the reach (one project or the whole account), then Allow.
Use it
Start a new chat, add Helipod from the tools (+) menu, and ask: "List my Helipod projects." ChatGPT shows each tool call and asks before actions that change something; keep confirmations on for anything that costs money.
Remove access
In Helipod, Settings → API keys → Connected apps → Disconnect. ChatGPT loses access immediately. You can also delete the connector in ChatGPT's settings.
