Claude Code

Add the Helipod MCP server and skills to Claude Code with the plugin, or add the server on its own, local or hosted.

Tested with Claude Code: plugin install from GitHub, local server and hosted server with a key. Sign-in uses the same OAuth flow tested with Codex and opencode.

Requirements

  • Claude Code, and Node.js 18 or newer (for the plugin and the local server).
  • HELIPOD_API_KEY in your environment, see Get a key. Start claude from a terminal that has it.

The plugin adds the hosted MCP server and all six skills:

/plugin marketplace add helipodapp/mcp
/plugin install helipod@mcp

Then run /mcp, choose helipod → Authenticate, sign in to Helipod in the browser, choose what Claude Code may access, and Allow. No key is needed.

Update later with /plugin marketplace update mcp.

Or add only the MCP server

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user helipod https://api.helipod.io/mcp

Then /mcp → helipod → Authenticate and sign in.

The skills are then added separately:

npx skills add helipodapp/mcp -g -a claude-code

Check it works

  • In a terminal: claude mcp list shows helipod … ✔ Connected (a plugin server is listed as plugin:helipod:helipod).
  • In Claude Code: /mcp lists the server and its 219 tools; /skills lists the helipod skills.
  • Ask: "List my Helipod projects." Claude asks to run list_projects; approve it.

Approvals

Claude Code asks before running each tool. You can allow read-only tools for the session and keep approval on for the rest; never auto-approve tools that cost money or delete things.

Use Helipod AI models in Claude Code

Claude Code can also run on models from the Helipod AI Gateway, billed in Rupiah. See Coding tools → Claude Code.
