Claude.ai and Claude Desktop
Add Helipod as a custom connector in Claude (web, desktop and mobile) and sign in, no API key needed.
Claude can connect to Helipod's hosted MCP server as a custom connector. You sign in to Helipod in the browser and choose what Claude may access; no key is copied anywhere.
Add the connector
Open connectors
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. (On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add it for the organization first.)
Enter the server
- Name: Helipod
- Remote MCP server URL:
https://api.helipod.io/mcp
Leave the OAuth client fields empty: Claude registers itself with Helipod automatically.
Connect and sign in
Choose Connect. A Helipod page opens:
- Sign in with your Helipod account (Google), if you are not signed in already.
- Pick what Claude may use: Container API, VPS API, Domain API, and the reach: one project (recommended) or the whole account (needed for the Domain API).
- Choose Allow. You are sent back to Claude, and the connector shows as connected.
The connector then works in Claude on the web, in Claude Desktop and in the mobile apps.
Use it
In a chat, open the tools menu and make sure Helipod is on, then ask, for example: "List my Helipod projects." Claude asks before running tools; keep that on for tools that cost money or delete things.
Change or remove access
- Change what Claude may do: disconnect and connect again; the Helipod page lets you choose again.
- Remove access: in Helipod, Settings → API keys → Connected apps → Disconnect. Claude loses access immediately. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings.
Claude Desktop with a local server
Claude Desktop can also run the server locally with an API key instead of signing in, see Claude Desktop (local server).
